Sprinter Usain Bolt Aiming to Get Back to His Record-breaking Form

I was driving to my green diesel provider recent when I heard a sports item on the radio about the fastest man in the world, Usain Bolt of Jamaica.

Now Bolt in 2008 took the world by storm by breaking two individual and one relay record at the Olympic Games and then one year later broke two of those records at the World athletic championships.

So with the 2011 world Championships only months away Bolt says he is very hard at work in an effort to get back to if not surpass that form he had when he broke those world records.

Bolt will be opening his 2008 season on May 26 at the Diamond League meet in Rome and many are eagerly waiting to see what his form is. This is so because he was beaten by Tyson Gay in his last race and suffered with a back injury last year.

The late start to his season has been laid at the feet of not wanting to peak too early and have to do it again for the World Championships. The trick here is that Bolt, as defending champion over the 100 and 200 meters, does not have to qualify for the World Championships so many are concerned as to whether he will be ready.

Bolt will have some very serious challenge on his hand at the World Championships with Tyson Gay getting better and faster and a series of Bolts countrymen such as Asafa Powell and Yohan Blake, all looking for their own glory.
